Carolina Boat Club
As our featured client, we would like to provide a detailed explanation of the web-based solution we designed for the Carolina Boat Club. Carolina Boat Club is a private boat rental club that allows its members to use various boats without actually owning and maintaining them. They wanted a Web-based application to manage their business. We provided a solution with the following features:
Custom Web Design
We used a nautical theme with a gold/blue color scheme and added a slight wave to the main links.
Automated Emails
An automated email is sent to Carolina Boat Club when a visitor fills out contact information. Automated emails are a convenient way of being alerted when inquires are made.
Affordability Calculator
Carolina Boat Club requested an application that would calculate the cost of owning a boat. They felt this was a great way to show the financial benefits of being a member. After the user fills out and submits the form, our web application calculates the data and presents it in a user-friendly format. The data for the cost of owning a boat is compared with the cost of being a member.
Photo Viewer
We implemented a photo viewing feature called liteboxes to showcase boats available for rent. By simply clicking on the thumbnails the website goes dark and the photo is the only item displayed. From here you can click next and view all the photos in that particular album.
Boat Reservations
This application manages all aspects of boat reservations. Members can make reservations and view boat availability through the embedded calendar. Carolina Boat Club administrator can view reservations and requests made by their members via the administrator control panel.
Administrator Control Panel
Carolina Boat Club administrators have full control of the dynamic content that is displayed on the website. They have the power to upload new boats and accompanying pictures to the "Boats in Fleet" page. They can change membership details, view the member list and add new members. The administrators can also post news and monitor the boat reservations. All member information and boat reservations are stored and organized for easy retrieval.
