The Freebies Place

The Freebies Place is an online directory and collection of links to free samples and freebies. A freebie can be a free sample, free trial, coupons, or just something free a company or website may be giving away.

When it came to designing The Freebies Place we had one goal in mind − Make the freebies as accessible as possible. We accomplished this by avoiding any sort of intro page and listing the most recent freebies the moment a visitor sees the website. We made each freebie appear as a type of coupon hinting to the user that the list of items are deals or discounts. Furthermore, by hovering the cursor over a coupon visitors immediately see a peeling action which guides them deeper into the content. The header continues the idea of coupons and visually guides the user down into the content.
